  • A PAIR OF TIGHTS - 1929 Hal Roach comedy with Edgar Kennedy, Stu Erwin, Anita Garvin, Marion Byron. Two girls are invited by one of the girls boy-friend's tight boss for dinner. On the way they stop for a cheap ice-cream. But swinging doors, ventilators, cops and a brat make it nearly impossible to get the ice cream even close to the car where the rest are waiting.   • LODGE NIGHT - 1923 Little Rascals (Our Gang) comedy. "Lodge Night" may be the most politically incorrect entry in the "Our Gang" series. Joe is a new student at the school. While Mary and the other girls take a shine to him by giving him many kisses, Mickey and Jack and the other boys express jealousy and they invite him to a secret meeting for an initiation. This club is called the Cluck Cluck Klams, which although is a kids version of the Ku Klux Klan, has Ernie and Farina as members! Excellent used condition complete print, 400' in the OB - $49

  • SWASHBUCKLING THRILLS FROM THE BLACK PIRATE - Highlights from the classic Douglas Fairbanks silent feature. 225' on a 400' reel - $20

  • LOCAL COLOR - 1913. This enjoyable and clever Tom Mix short feature combines the western setting with some of the best elements of the slapstick comedies of the era. Mint, 400' in the OB - $39
  • THOSE AWFUL HATS - 1909 D.W. Griffith comedy. Set in an early cinema house, this comic short illustrates the problems with the gals' hats obscuring the movie patron's line of vision. About 60' on a 200' reel. Mint in the OB - $18
  • SOLDIER MAN - 1926 Harry Langdon comedy. Harry plays a World War One prisoner of war who escapes from the Germans on Armistice Day -- they were busy celebrating something and he took his opportunity. He wanders into Bomania -- wherever that may be, but it's all the same to Harry -- where he is an exact double for the King. So Harry plays a clueless Prisoner of Zenda. Mint on 2x400' reels in the OB - $49
  • HELL'S HINGES - 1916. The grim, somber tone of this western, starring William S. Hart, does not at all keep it from being a watchable and interesting feature. William S. Hart's screen presence is put to very good use, and the tension is built up steadily. Mint, 600' on 2x400' reels in OB - $49
  • JOE LOUIS vs. MAX SCHMELING (4) - The great international heavyweight boxing contest at Yankee Stadium in New York on June 19, 1936. The complete fight on 2x400' reels. Silent with a sound stripe. Mint in the OB - $39

  • SMITHY - 1924 Hal Roach comedy starring Stan Laurel and Jimmy Finlayson. Rare comedy does not even show up on the Movie Data Base. Mint Blackhawn print, about 250' on a 400' reel in OB - $39
  • JUST RAMBLING ALONG - SYNOPSIS 1918 Hal Roach comedy starring Stan Laurel. Like New in the OB. 200' - $39
  • THE ADVENTURES OF DOLLIE - 1908. D.W. Griffith's first film as a director. A mother and father take their young daughter Dollie on a riverside outing. A gypsy basket peddler happens along, and is angered when the mother refuses to buy his wares. He attacks mother and daughter but is driven off by the father. Later the gypsy sneaks back and kidnaps the girl. Mint, 200' in the OB - $29
  • TEDDY AT THE THROTTLE (2) - 1917 Mack Sennett comic melodrama, still fast and fun. Stars Bobby Vernon and Gloria Swanson. 400' - $39
  • SUPER HOOPER DYN LIZZIES (3) - 1925 Mack Sennett comedy with Billy Bevan and Andy Clyde. Written by Frank Capra. This hilarious physical comedy provides an excellent look at the kind of comedy movie audiences worldwide were enjoying in 1925! Mint in the OB, 400' - $39

Will Roger's satires of his movieland contemporaries,
UNCENSORED MOVIES and its follow-up, BIG MOMENTS FROM LITTLE PICTURES, were made at a time when Hollywood was still recovering from a series of ugly, damaging scandals.

  • UNCENSORED MOVIES - 1923 Hal Roach comedy starring Will Rogers. Will, returning from a West Coast fact-finding trip, is reporting to his fellow townsfolk on the immoral behavior he found in Hollywood. At a town meeting he sets up his projector and shows what are supposedly clips from home movies he took on his trip, as well as scenes from scandalous works in progress at the studios. Mint in the OB. 400' - $29
  • BIG MOMENTS FROM LITTLE PICTURES (2) - 1924 Hal Roach comedy starring Will Rogers. He takes on Rudolph Valentino's bull-fighting epic BLOOD AND SAND, Douglas Fairbanks' ROBIN HOOD, weepy melodramas, and the Keystone comedies. Very funny. Mint in the OB. 400' - $29

Castle Films were manufactured and sold to the home market from 1937 to 1972. They set the standard for professional editing and high quality in home movies.
The prints here are mostly from the 1960's to 1970's.  All are 200' Complete editions, black & white, in Excellent to Mint condition unless otherwise noted. OB indicates the film comes in the original 5.5"x5.5" box. The boxes will generally be in excellent to like new condition unless noted otherwise. Films not in original boxes will be in cans or Miniature Movie Classics boxes. A number in brackets ( ) next to a title indicates the number of prints I have of that title.

  • CANDID MOMENTS WITH THE STARS - 1930's and 40's. Dupe - $10
  • KIKI AND BLUEBEARDS WIVES - 1920'S short with Ronald Coleman. Not sure just what this is. 100' on a 200' reel from Reel Images - $10
  • 1968 ROSE PARADE - Color print of the famous annual event. Color is faded but still nice. 225' on a 200' reel - $24
  • Atlas Films 50' - Atlas 50' Films in OB's: BATTLING BRUISERS with Popeye, THE CHALLENGE with Our Gang, COWBOY JUSTICE - $8 each
  • GRAND CANYON MULE RIDE - This is probably a souviner film sold at the Grand Canyon in the 60's or 70's. It shows the whole process of taking the mule ride. It is on Agfa No-Fade Color film stock so the color and condition is excellent. 200' - $29

  • THE BUS - Americom home movies with original soundtrack record. Laurel & Hardy comedy. 200' excerpt from "The Dancing Masters". Sound track was electronically recorded to syncronize at 18 fps silent projection speed. Film is mint, record has a fold, OB is generally excellent condition - $49
  • THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF CHARLIE CHASE - Compilation of Chase's classic silent comedies. Fair quality, Select Film Library, 200' - $12
  • THE COVERD WAGON - Very long theatrical trailer for this silent classic. 150' - $15
  • SPARRING PARTNER - Atlas Films. Charlie Chaplin comedy in OB - $15
  • FLYING ELEPHANTS - Atlas Films. Laurel & Hardy silent classic in OB - $15
  • THE PLAYHOUSE - 1921 Buster Keaton comedy. A fantastic comedy has Buster running a movie house where he actually enters the scenes on the screen. Fair quality dupe print is a little washed out, however it is a rare title to find. Mint, 400' - $39
  • SUNDOWN LIMITED - Hal Roach Little Rascals, 1924. Mickey and Joe manage to climb into the engine car in the railyards and cause all sorts of mischief until they are thrown out.Then they build their own railroad! Far more elaborate and far-fetched than this sweet-natured series usually is. Mint Niles print, 400' in the OB - $39
  • CHARLIE AT THE RACES - 1914. Stars Charlie Chaplin, Mabel Normand and Chester Conklin. Mabel and her beau go to an auto race and are joined by Charlie and his friend. As Charlie's friend is attempting to enter the raceway through a hole, the friend gets stuck and a policeman shows up. Like New, 200' in the OB - $24

  • CHARLIE IN THE CHAMPION - 1915 Charlie Chaplin comedy. Walking along with his bulldog, Charlie finds a "good luck" horseshoe just as he passes a training camp advertising for a boxing partner "who can take a beating." After watching others lose, Charlie puts the horseshoe in his glove and wins. Near Mint Walton Films print, 400' in the OB - $39
  • CHARLIE SHANGHAIED - 1915 Charlie Chaplin comedy. A shipowner intends to scuttle his ship on its last voyage to get the insurance money. Charlie, a tramp in love with the owner's daughter, is grabbed by the captain and promises to help him shanghai some seamen. The daughter stows away to follow Charlie. Charlie assists in the galley and attempts to serve food during a gale. Near Mint Walton Films print, 400' in the OB - $39
  • Perry's Movies Early Comedy and History - These are 200' films released by Perry's Movies in England. All are a full 200' in Excellent to Like New used condition in Blackhawk Films boxes - $24 each
