16MM COLOR SOUND CARTOONS

 

  • RETURN TO OZ - A feature length animated TV special made in 1964 by Crawley Films for NBC. It was first seen on the General Electric Color Fantasy Hour. Dorothy clings to an apple tree during a tornado which takes her back to Oz. She sets off to find her friends, without knowing the Wicked Witch is watching them in her Crystal Ball. She finds Rusty who has rusted after the witch tricked him. They find Socrates in a corn field on a pole scaring crows again. After the four friends are reunited, they arrive at the Emerald City, only to be tricked by the Witch, who has captured the Wizard and taken over as the ruler of Oz. Song are "I Wanna Go Back", "Moonbeam" (Dorothy), "We're Munchkins, Naturally" (Dorothy, Munchkins), "You Can't Buy a Brain". A beautiful Mint LPP Color polyester/mylar print on a full 1600' reel (2000' of thin Mylar film stock fits on a 1600' reel)- $149

  • ELMER ELEPHANT - 1936 Silly Symphony. The other children at a birthday party mock Elmer Elephant for his big nose, but it proves useful when he needs to save the birthday girl from a fire in her tree house. Very Good to excellent IB Technicolor composite print - $79
  • GOLIATH II - 1960. Goliath II is a 6-inch-tall elephant (son of the huge Goliath). He's a big disappointment to his father, but mom is proud of Goliath II anyway. Goliath II is constantly getting into trouble because he's so small. Excellent used mylar LPP Color print on an 800' reel - $99

  • DROOPY'S GOOD DEED - 1951 Droopy cartoon. Droopy and Spike find themselves in a Boy Scout competition, with the first prize being a handshake with the President. As usual, Droopy tries to win in a fair and sportsman-like manner, while Spike pulls every dirty trick in the book. Very good color, Near Mint 1980 EASTMAN Color print - $79
  • DRAG-A-LONG DROOPY - 1954 Droopy cartoon. Droopy is a shepherd. His sheep graze into cattle country, despite the warning sign. He gets in an argument with the cattle owner, but of course, nobody wins a battle against Droopy. Beautiful color, Near Mint 1980 EASTMAN Color print - $79

  • ADVANCE AND BE MECHANIZED - 1967 Tom and Jerry cartoon. Jerry uses a robot mouse to snatch a sample from a lunar cheese mine being mined by robots. Tom gives chase with a robot cat. Like New EASTMAN Color print with faded reddish color - $49
  • TWO LITTLE PUPS - 1936 MGM Harmon-Ising Cartoon. A hen tries to get something to eat from a garden, but is chased around the yard by the titular pups. Beautiful Near Mint LPP Color print - $139
  • THE PUPS PICNIC - 1936 MGM Harmon-Ising Cartoon. Two little puppies, one black, one brown, are underfoot as a woman is laying out a picnic. They ultimately get mixed up in a fox hunt. Beautiful Near Mint LPP Color print - $139
  • THE CHINESE NIGHTINGALE - 1935 Rudolf Ising classic originally released by MGM. A Chinese emperor is gladdened by the song of the nightingale and is moved to play his own song. One day, the Japanese send a music box with a mechanical bird; the nightingale feels rejected and leaves. But soon, the clockwork breaks down, and the emperor dispatches his crow to go look; meanwhile, the emperor grows sicker with the passing months. This is a British Robert Kingston Organisation Near Mint AGFA Color print - $89
  • SWITCHIN' KITTEN - 1961 Tom & Jerry cartoon. Near Mint EASTMAN Color print with good color but slight fading. Full 400' reel - $59

A sudden rainstorm floods Bugs Bunny's rabbit hole and puts him in the path of an Evil Scientist and of Rudolph, a beast that is covered in orange fur and shod in sneakers.   • WELL WORN DAFFY - 1965. Speedy Gonzales and a couple of his mouse friends are in need of a drink in the hot desert and come accoss a water-filled oasis, which belongs to greedy Daffy Duck. Excellent IB Technicolor print - $79

  • PAYING THE PIPER - 1949 Looney Tunes. Pied Piper Porky Pig vows to rid the town of Hamelin of all its rats, and the cats of Hamelin are furious. Like New SP Color print - $89
  • MIXED MASTER - 1956 Looney Tunes. Harry, a mild-mannered man, brings home a shaggy dog he has named Robert. Harry's wife, Alice, disapproves because they already have a dog named Chang, a tiny Pekinese Thoroughbred. Excellent IB Technicolor print (some light scratches and wear) - $79
  • TOO HOP TO HANDLE - 1956 Looney Tunes with Sylvester and Son. Sylvester Cat scoffs at his son's idea that a pipe like that of "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" could lure mice into their home to catch. But when Junior tries it and Hippety Hopper, the baby kangaroo, comes along. Of course they think he is a giant mouse. Beautiful Near Mint IB Technicolor print - $139
  • HOMELESS HARE - 1950 Bugs Bunny Merrie Melodies cartoon. A construction worker destroys Bugs' home with a steam shovel and refuses to repair the damage. Near Mint Fuji Color excellent quality dupe print - $79

  • ODOR-ABLE KITTY - 1945 Merrie Melodies. A cat, tired of being abused by everyone in his neighborhood, disguises himself as a skunk and inadvertently attracts the romantic advances of a real skunk. Like New Eastman Color print with very good color - $69
  • THE FOXY DUCKLING - 1947 Merrie Melodies. Excellent 3M color print, fair color - $39
  • COUNT ME OUT - 1938 Merrie Melodies with Elmer (Egghead). Mint Fuji 80OD Color print - $89
  • HONEY'S MONEY - 1962 Merrie Melodies cartoon. Yosemite Sam marries a widow for her money, and once the honeymoon is over, the woman reveals her real bossy, loud mouthed manner and introduces Sam to her son - a huge, oafish kid. Excellent Eastman Color print with very good color - $79
  • NUTS AND VOLTS - 1964 with Sylvester and Speedy Gonzales. Excellent Eastman Color print - $59
  • SPEEDY GHOST TO TOWN - 1967. Daffy Duck overhears Speedy Gonzales and another mouse talk about a hidden cheese storage area, thinking it is really gold they are talking about. Excellent+ IB Technicolor print - $79
  • A TASTE OF KATNIP - 1966. Daffy Duck goes to a doctor after he realizes that he is starting to act like a cat. Daffy finds himself drinking milk out of saucers, scared of dogs, and drooling over the idea of Speedy Gonzales for dinner! Excellent+ IB Technicolor print - $99

  • DUMB PATROL - 1964 Looney Tunes with Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam. Biplane battles over France in World War I between Bugs and Baron Sam Von Shamm. Excellent+ Eastman Color print with very good color - $79
  • GOO GOO GOLIATH - 1954 Looney Tune. An inebriated stork must deliver a baby to a giant at the top of a beanstalk, but doesn't feel like flying that high and instead delivers the baby to a normal-sized couple. Excellent used IB Technicolor print - $79
  • EASTER YEGGS - 1947 Bugs Bunny Looney Tunes. Bugs Bunny delivers eggs for the lazy Easter Bunny; he encounters a sadistic brat and a rabbit stew-hungry Elmer Fudd. Mint original Eastman Color print with good but faded color - $49

  • HOLLYWOOD OR BUSTED - Hannah-Barbara Windsome Witch. Excellent Eastman Color print with good color - $39
  • MERRY MANNEQUINS - 1937 Columbia Ub Iwerks classic. This is possibly the best example of the animation Iwerks did at Columbia, following a dispute with Walt Disney. Told in a musical-comedy format, this cartoon is the story of two department store mannequins who fall in love, become engaged and plan to marry. Excellent Mint Eastman Color reduction print. Very rare title - $119
  • THE HORSE ON THE MERRY-GO-ROUND - 1938 Columbia Pictures cartoon. Weary of his running-in-circles existence as a merry-go-round horse, the little hobby-horse gets a case of wanderlust. That night he gets out after the fair has closed and takes in the world of the Crazy House, the Wax Museum, the Ferris Wheel and a roller coaster. Battered and beaten from his adventures, he concludes he is better off on his stand at the merry-go-round. Beautiful Mint LPP Color reduction print from 35mm - $119
  • THE SHOOTING OF DAN McGREW - 1966, Ed Graham Productions Inc. Narrated by Ernie Banks and Walter Brennan. The film was created in the spirit of earlier UPA shorts like The Unicorn in the Garden and The Tell-Tale Heart which adapted classic pieces of literature to the animation medium. The Sixties was an interesting time for theatrical shorts in the US. As studio animation was dying out, many of the major studios offered independently-produced one-shots like this one, which was released by Universal. Beautiful Excellent+ IB Technicolor print - $69
  • GOOD AND GUILTY - Paramount Harveytoon, 1962. With Goodie The Gremlin. Like New Eastman Color print with very good color - $49
  • THE WITCH'S CAT - 1948 Mighty Mouse cartoon. A witch and her really-stupid cat try to disrupt a Hallowe'en celebration by the mice. Excellent SP Color print with TV titles, fades out at end - $59
  • TO BOO OR NOT TO BOO - 1951 Casper cartoon. Casper the Friendly Ghost's favorite holiday is Halloween, but as soon as all the children and grown-ups realize he is a real ghost, they run away. But he perks up when he meets a cute girl ghost at a barn dance. Beautiful Near Mint AGFA COLOR Harvey Films print - $59
  • ONCE UPON A RHYME - 1951 Casper cartoon. Casper the Friendly Ghost doesn't like to haunt and wishes he could be in Mother Gooseland. He gets his wish but becomes depressed when he scares all the nursery rhyme characters. When he rescues Red Riding Hood from the wolf, Mother Goose rewards him by making up a rhyme about him.   • ALTER EGOTIST - Paramount, 1967. Honey Halfwitch is lonely for a friend. Cousin Maggie forbids her from playing with mortal children and suggests that she entertain herself by drawing. Honey draws a little witch girl, then uses Cousin Maggie's magic wand to bring her drawing to life. Excellent+ IB Technicolor print - $79
  • THRONE FOR A LOSS - Paramount, 1966. Honey Halfwitch is assisting Stanley in his magic act. Stanley attempts to pull a rabbit from a hat, but the rabbit pulls him into the hat instead. Excellent+ IB Technicolor print - $79

  • UNDER THE COUNTERSPY - 1954 Woody Woodpecker cartoon. This parody of television's "Dragnet" finds a dangerous spy, The Bat, hiding a secret solution in Woody Woodpecker's house.   • FELIX THE CAT - Series of cartoons made for television in 1959. Each cartoon is in two chapters and are assembled on a 400' reel. Beautiful, complete, Brand New Mint LPP Color prints. Instead of names to describe each episode, there are just numbers: 91, 105, 128, 129 - $69 each
  • FELIX THE CAT -  Adjoining cartoon spots that TV stations used when assembling the Felix The Cat Show. These introduced the upcoming cartoon. Have 6 10-second spots in excellent used condition in no-fade LPP color - $10 each
