- 1938 Merrie Melodies cartoon.
Hayseed Egghead arrives in the big city of Bagdad and quickly
wins a magic lamp in a carnival coin-operated crane game. The
shady character who was playing the game before him covets the
lamp, and tries to steal it. Has black and Arab caricatures.

Crusher vs. Ravishing Ronald. Ronald's mascot is Bugs Bunny.

- DING DONG DADDY
- 1942 Merrie Melodies cartoon. A dumb and lonely dog has no
luck with the ladies until he notices a beautiful dog named
Daisy in front of a house. However, he's not smart enough to
realize she's just a metal statue. The house is guarded by a vicious
bulldog. Workmen arrive to collect the statue to be melted as
scrap metal for the war effort. He finally tracks her down after
having been made into a bomb for the war effort. Like New

BROKEN TOYS - 1935 Walt Disney Silly Symphony cartoon.
Landing in a dump, a lively sailor doll finds the place has
become the home for a collection of discarded BROKEN TOYS who have
all given up hope of finding happiness again. Instilling new
enthusiasm and dignity in them, the sailor doll helps get them
repaired and cleaned-up. Hollywood celebrities caricatured are Ned
Sparks, Zasu Pitts, W. C. Fields and Stepin' Fetchit. Near Mint

CAFE -
1937 Walt Disney Silly Symphony cartoon. A typical evening at the
WOODLAND CAFE, that popular insect hot spot. A wide assortment of
bugs are kept entertained by apache dancers (a spider & a fly) and
dancing to Big Band music.
A delightful little cartoon. The
Disney animators show their versatility once again in their
depiction of all things buggy. The film is also a spoof of Swing in
general & Cab Calloway in particular.

"The Mummy Strikes" is the fourteenth in a series of
seventeen cartoons based upon this DC comics character.

investigating an egyptologist's mysterious death, Superman must

in some descriptions). Jiminy Cricket
narrates the history and practice of
pedestrian traffic safety with very

- GET A JOB - 1985, Brad Caslor cartoon produced by the
National Film Board of Canada. This animated short follows the
tribulations of a cartoon character, Bob Dog, as he hunts for a
job. Self-motivation, preparing a resume, and getting ready for
an interview are all dealt with in a highly entertaining
fashion, while the Doo-wop mover Get a Job provides the
upbeat 1940's style musical soundtrack. Great cartoon combines the wild
animation style of Bob Clampett and Tex Avery.

Little Audrey Harveytoons -
Paramount Pictures Famous Studios
cartoons from 1947 to 1958. Veteran
animator Bill Tytla was the designer of
Little Audrey, reportedly inspired by
his daughter Tammy. Little Audrey was
voiced by Mae Questel, who also voiced
most of Paramount's other major female
cartoon characters, including Betty Boop
and Olive Oyl from the Popeye cartoons.

MOVIE - 1950 Paramount Popeye
cartoon. Popeye and Olive prepare to make a movie
while his nephews watch. The movie is a
significant portion of "Popeye Meets Ali
Baba's Forty Thieves" from 1937, which
makes up over 80% of this cartoon.

FLEECE - 1960 King Features
Popeye cartoon. Popeye tells Swee'Pea
the story of Jason and the Golden
Fleece. In this version, Popeye plays
Jason, Wimpy is the King, the Sea Hag
plays the Queen, and Brutus plays
Jupiter, Neptune and the Centaur. After
the King sends Popeye to retrieve the
Golden Fleece, Popey's singing annoys
Zeus and Neptune, but he escapes their
thunderous attacks. He also escapes the
Goon-like mermaids and the Sea Hag. He
lands on the Hag's island and follows a
sign that says, "Golden Fleece This
Way," Beautiful

It's
a peaceful day at the local poultry farm until Foxy Loxy happens
along intent on a chicken dinner. He takes the advice of a book on
psychology by striking "the least intelligent" first and convinces
dim witted Chicken Little the sky is falling.

Beuren cartoon. A mouse and his
girlfriend fool around in a toy store.
The mouse impresses his girl with
charming, toy-involved tricks. When a
scrawny black cat enters the scene, the
mice are transported to safety by a
climbing monkey toy. Together, they
inflate a "dummy cat," which comes as a
real surprise for the villain cat. Like

BEARS - 1935 RKO U.B.Iwerks cartoon. Playing
hide-and-seek with her dog, young Goldilocks scampers away into
the woods and stumbles upon a lovely little house. Unbeknownst
to her, a family of bears live there. The bears, however, have
gone to do something in the woods. Goldilocks spills their food,
breaks their furniture, and generally creates havoc in their
house, before settling in for a nap in the one remaining usable

TOM THUMB
- 1936 RKO U.B.Iwerks cartoon. A stork delivers a baby no
bigger than a thumb to two proud parents. The boy ages, but does
not grow. Despite Tom's diminutive size, he attempts everyday
tasks like helping his mother in the kitchen and learning to
play the piano. However, adventuresome Tom finds trouble when he
disobeys his father and ventures into the outside world.

comic strip, was originally made for

bought by Castle Films and released
exclusively

Harmon-Ising MGM cartoon.
A canary is
frustrated by being caged, particularly
with a parrot taunting him when humans
aren't watching. One day, he tricks the
kind old lady that owns him into opening
the window, and she also leaves the door
to his cage open. A black and

POPEYE
PRESENTS EUGENE, THE JEEP - 1940 Paramount Popeye
cartoon. Popeye receives Eugene as a birthday present from
Olive. He takes him in, feeds him and makes a little bed for
him, remembering Olive's note said "Be sure he sleeps outdoors
at night." But when it was time to go to bed, there is Eugene in
Popeye's bed. So whenever Popeye tries to put him outside, he
shows up inside again. Popeye is inaware his phasing powers that
makes him disappear in one place and reappear at another.
